Make A Difference (MAD) works to provide everybody with a reasonable quality of life.
MAD believes that a reasonable quality of life can be achieved if individuals are covered on two fronts: they are free from exploitation and they have the ability to cope with life crises. MAD mobilises young leaders towards ensuring equitable outcomes for children in need of care and protection.
MAD is envisioning a fundamental shift from being perceived as an organisation to becoming a dynamic movement. This transformation is rooted in the belief that the movement should belong to the people, fostering a sense of ownership and participation among all stakeholders. Unlike an organisation, which inherently has limitations on ownership to the employees, a movement is inclusive and open to everyone, aligning perfectly with MAD's ethos of community-driven change.
The MAD Storytelling Initiative's primary objective is to derive insights to support the team to better understand how well the volunteers are being able to integrate MAD's values into their day to day. Building on these insights, feedback and experiences shared, the team aims to leverage the power of storytelling to better inspire, support and mobilize volunteers by strengthening communication strategies. A secondary objective is to add a layer of reflection, sharing openly to enable learning amongst peers in the community of volunteers.
By utilizing the Open Knowledge Framework (OKF), MAD intends to streamline the collection and analysis of stories shared by volunteers.
